Tonight we took Eliana and Adeline for their first official swimming lesson. It was a new experience for all of us, but I'm really glad we are doing it. Our instructor is a little green, so we'll have to learn about what to teach them on our own, I guess, but it's fun to have some special family time in the water. Eliana was loving life (as she normally does) and was trying to drink the water instead of blowing bubbles - we'll have to work on that...Adeline was a bit freaked out about how loud it was in the pool but after about 15 min she chilled out and was starting to really dig it. Her little hands started to turn blue though (I guess she was cold) so we called it about 5 mins before the end of class. The most challenging part was changing out of a wet bathing suit with a wet, cold slippery baby and no where "safe" to put her. We got through unscathed (aside from a scratch I inflicted on Adeline's head), so all in all, it was a SUCCESS.
I'm actually pretty glad we have twins at swimming lessons because it means both Jesse and I get to partake in the fun each week. We got home at 6pm, well past the girls' normal dinner time of 5pm, so they ate, we ate, and then they went to bed - rather quickly.

| This is not one of our babies, but a cute picture...We did dunk them both, but I believe their eyes were closed while submerged...but who knows? |
I think all that exercising should help them sleep through the night, for the 2nd night in a row - woo hoo!
